If you understand English but find it difficult to use what you know when speaking, this course is designed for you.
In Alfra’s live online classes, you’ll have opportunities to speak about different topics, take part in discussions, and develop your speaking skills step by step with guidance from your mentor.
10 weeks · 20 two-hour sessions · Twice a week · 8–12 participants
The course focuses on developing your spoken English: speaking more fluently and at greater length, using a wider range of words and expressions, and sharing your opinions with greater confidence.
This course is designed to help you progress from A2 toward B1. Your progress will depend on your starting level, active participation, and practice between sessions.
Classes take place live online. The course includes 20 sessions over 10 weeks, with two sessions each week.
Each session lasts two hours, with 8–12 participants per group. Your mentor guides the conversations and actively shares speaking opportunities across the group.
You’ll have the same mentor throughout the course. Your mentor is a native English speaker.
Digital learning materials are included. To get the most out of the course, you’ll need to prepare before classes and practise between sessions.
You should already be able to use simple sentences to talk about familiar topics, everyday life, and your experiences—even if you pause or make mistakes.
If you’re a complete beginner and find it difficult to form simple sentences, this course is not the right starting point. It is also not primarily a grammar course or a course focused only on short, everyday conversations.
You can use Alfra’s free self-assessment to help you choose. It provides initial guidance rather than a definitive assessment of your speaking level.
If you’re still unsure, you can book a speaking level assessment before enrolling. Booking details and conditions are available on the assessment page.
Class days, times, and start dates are displayed before registration opens, so you can check that the schedule works for you before purchasing.
Each course requires a minimum of 8 participants and accepts a maximum of 12. If there are not enough registrations for the advertised start date, you can choose to:
Active participation is central to this course. Before enrolling, please make sure you can attend regularly and practise between sessions.
Classes are not recorded. If you miss a session, we cannot offer an individual make-up class or a refund for that session. If Alfra cancels a session, a replacement session will be arranged.
